The exhibition-installation:Suitcases of human rights defenders

Discussion with experts

Free entrance

"Aggression in eastern Ukraine, occupation of Crimea put human rights defenders in the face of new challenges and threats. Most of those who spoke out loud against the violations were forced to leave their hometowns and seek security where the authorities publicly spoke about human rights and responded to human rights activists.

The exhibition consists of three "suitcases" with personal belongings of real activists and human rights activists who were forced to leave the Crimean peninsula after the annexation of Crimea. The contents of the suitcases are the subject of research by visitors for the subjective reproduction of the image of a modern human rights activist.

Each "suitcase" tells a personal story related to activism, occupation, and choice that activists find themselves in Ukraine's uncontrolled territories."
