Black Cleaning

Barricades and tents were still on the Maidan several months after the protesters’ victory. Some said the revolution wasn’t over yet, and the centre of Kyiv had to remain occupied. The others thought it was time to start working in regions and governmental offices. In August 2014, municipal services and participants of the Maidan gathered to clean it up. The atmosphere reminded me of the classic Ukrainian novel The Black Council by Panteleimon Kulish.

Thousands come to the cemetery for Hrobky (Memorial Day) to commemorate their departed relatives, to get blessed, to celebrate life... It’s a wonderful tradition, isn't it?

The Castle / Zamek

Six personalities, six professions and six amazing passions. They all meet together in the magical Royal Castle, where our characters work. We observe as they carry out their duties, and we follow their fascinating hobbies. A great dose of humour, empathy and absurdity.

Brothers and sons who live abroad build identical houses to express equality and unity in the family. An empathetic portrait of families which, by economic necessity, need to live much of their lives separated, in cultures not their own.
