Illusion

This absurd story began in Kherson, Ukraine. Young people create a cultural centre to protect the oldest cinema in the city. But the land at the centre of this city attracts officials and deputies; they want to free up the territory and start a war against the cultural activists.

Shut the Fuck Up!

Serhiy Chaharov has fought against corruption in his home village of Hatne near Kyiv since he was 15 years old. His weapons are documents and journalistic texts. During one of the village council’s meetings, a councillor whom Serhiy had accused of corruption attacked the activist and publicly threatened him. All the major Ukrainian media wrote about this case. For them, Serhiy is a hero. For some of the village, he is a shame. He receives threats and is advised to “stay away from adult business”. And one night, an explosive device is placed in his yard.

Girl Against Gravity

Erdenchimeg (11) has her mind set on becoming a famous contortionist – a speciality of Mongolian acrobats. Her team at the circus school is invited to become part of a prestigious show on the parliament square. But suddenly Erdenchimeg seems incapable of managing her exercise. The prospect of becoming the ‘odd one out’ on her team is all the more frightening because her dad is imprisoned, her mother is a former drunk, and Erdenchimeg was only admitted to the circus school as an act of good will. Not just her own dreams, but also the dignity of her family is at stake. But in the end she finds her inner strength and pulls through!
