The Travelling Docudays UA prepares for a start in September

19 August 2020

In mid-August, before the beginning of the Travelling Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, which is a traditional follow-up on the March Docudays UA in Kyiv, the regional coordinators came together for a joint annual seminar. This year, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Travelling Festival will start in September and, for the first time, will be held in a hybrid format, involving both online platforms and public spaces.

For the three days of the seminar, the participants planned educational events and film screenings, discussed risks and security measures in connection to the pandemic, studied the special characteristics of copyright compliance, exchanged experiences of holding events online, and improved the festival’s communication strategy.

Today, the Travelling Festival’s network includes 44 leading NGOs that work in 21 regions of Ukraine. As a reminder, the Travelling Docudays UA will be held until late December.

Even during the quarantine and the pandemic, audiences in the most remote villages and towns will have opportunities to see the most relevant world and national documentaries, to talk to prominent human rights advocates, cultural figures and artists.

The schedule of the online and offline events will soon be published on the website. Follow our updates.
