Travelling Docudays UA in Ternopil Oblast

The Festival takes place on 5-27 December in offline and online formats.

 

The events programme:

 

5 December – Opening of the Festival with a public action #freeMaksymButkevych.

Opening and author's presentation of the photo exhibition "Unconquered Kherson". A story about the protagonist of the film Tales of a Toy Horse, Anatolii Kuzmovych Ljutjuk from Ternopil.

6 December – Film screening Mountains and Heaven in Between, Ternopil.

Presentation of the essays collection Ukrainian Basics.The collection of essays by leading Ukrainian intellectuals is intended to invite a wide range of citizens to open dialogue about the main issues of our present and future. On what basis should we build a new Ukraine, a Ukrainian state? What are the foundations of the Ukrainian political nation, the key parameters of identity? What kind of Ukraine do we dream of? What is our place in the world? How to overcome the challenges we face?

 

7 December – Special event: presentation "Bohdan Lepky – a Spokesman for Ukrainian-Polish Dialogue and Cooperation", Husiatyn.

4 November marked the 150th anniversary of the birth of Bohdan Lepky, a Ukrainian novelist, poet, teacher, honorary professor of the Jagiellonian University, art critic, artist, public, cultural and political figure, Polish senator. The NGO Helsinska Initiative-XXI prepared a presentation about a little-studied side of Lepky's activity: many years of his activity as a spokesman for Ukrainian-Polish dialogue and cooperation in the fields of culture, art, publishing, science, and politics.

12 December – Screening of Ivan's Land, Chortkiv.
