The 20th-anniversary Travelling Docudays UA continues its journey across Ukraine, promising a flurry of screenings and discussions that our regional selection will shed light on.

Travelling in Ternopil region:
November 27–28, Zalishchyky and Husiatyn. In these locations, the audience will have the opportunity to watch festival films in schools, including:
Seeds of Hunger: Ukraine 1933 (dir. Guillaume Ribot), marking the National Holodomor Remembrance Day and commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Stalinist Holodomor of 1933.
Guests from Kharkiv (dir. Halyna Lavrinets), Second Wind (dir. Maksym Lukashov), Waking Up in Silence (dir. Mila Zhluktenko, Daniel Asadi Faezi), Our Robo Family (dir. Anastasia Tykha), and 89 Days (dir. Pavlo Dorohoi).
Heading into discussions, we’ll delve into the Seven Principles of the Lugano Declaration and explore the life of Sydor Holubovych, a notable politician and human rights activist hailing from Ternopil.
December 1, Chortkiv: Screening of Unconquered Kherson (dir. Ustyn Danchuk, Vhoru Media Platform), followed by a discussion with the film’s protagonists.
December 2, Chortkiv: Screening of Ramboy (dir. Matthias Joulaud) and a discussion commemorating the 200th anniversary of Ivan Hushalevych’s birth. Hushalevych, a public figure and poet, authored the lyrics to the first anthem of Galician Rusyns (1848) and hailed from the region.
December 3: Online screening of Apolonia, Apolonia (dir. Lea Glob) and a discussion with the artists.

December 6, Ternopil: Screening of Our Robo Family (dir. Anastasia Tykha) and Young Plato (dir. Neasa Ní Chianáin, Declan McGrath), with a presentation of the Seven Principles of the Lugano Declaration.
December 7, Ternopil: Screening of King Lear: How We Looked for Love During the War (dir. Dmytro Hreshko) and a presentation of the project Bukovyna-Halych Literary Path by Helga von Löwenich and Professor Petro Rykhlo.
December 8: Online screening of A Bunch of Amateurs (dir. Kim Hopkins) followed by a discussion.
December 9, Chortkiv: Screening of Three Women (dir. Maksym Melnyk) followed by a discussion.
December 10: Online screening of The Killing of a Journalist (dir. Matt Sarnecki) followed by a discussion. Also, a discussion focusing on Freedom of speech and belief in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
December 11, Zbarazh: The closing event features Three Women (dir. Maksym Melnyk) followed by a discussion. The discussion will centre around the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sydor (Izydor) Holubovych, a lawyer, prominent public and political figure, and the head of the Government of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (1918–1919).
