Dear Lviv! We have extremely good news and a great opportunity to meet you: on November 10, we open the 21st Travelling Docudays UA in Lviv! Those who follow the cultural life of the region may have learned about the Festival's plans in the city of Lion from our Facebook page or from the press conference. And now, we are sharing it with the entire country.
November 10, 6 PM
A garden in wartime: live screening of the documentary Boots on the Ground, Hands in the Soil and a meeting with its author Karolina Uskakovych, multidisciplinary filmmaker, designer and artist from Kyiv.
November 15, 6 PM
Archives of the regime: screening of the documentary film The Kyiv Files by Walter Stokman and a discussion with Vasyl Kmet, historian, archivist and director of the Lviv Municipal Library.
November 17, 6 PM
Living Library: dialogues with Rostyslav Kuzyk, poet, journalist, photographer, and director of the Art Library, about Ukrainian culture, literature, and the role of libraries for the community. The event will be moderated by journalist and lecturer Yuliya Nahorna.
November 22, 6 PM
Perceiving cinema with all our senses: screening of the documentary Nelson the Pig (dir. Anneke de Lind van Wijngaarden) with audio description of the visual part of the film, which will allow visually impaired viewers to fully perceive it. For a deeper understanding of inclusivity, normotypical visitors will be offered an unusual experience: watching the film with their eyes closed. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with experts Kateryna Alekseenko, researcher on inclusion, and Viktoriya Luchka, co-founder of Accessible Cinema.
