The 21st Travelling Docudays UA in Zaporizhzhia: digest of events
This November promises to be especially warm, because this is the month when the Travelling Festival visits most of the cities, towns, and villages, where our regional coordinators are tirelessly working on its organization.
Next week, we continue our journey in the Ternopil Region and is headed to Zaporizhzhia! Here are our public events in this unbreakable city:
November 1, 5 PM
The festival will open with the screening of Walter Stokman’s documentary The Kyiv Files. Eduard Andryushchenko, historian, author, and researcher of the KGB archives from Zaporizhzhya who helped the filmmaker with the materials for his film, will join the discussion online.
November 6, 11 AM
Screening of the film Caught in the Net (dirs. Barbora Chalupová, Vit Klusák) and panel discussion “How to protect children from sexual abuse on the Internet?” Please note that the event is not intended for children under 12.
November 8, 11 AM
The children’s session with the screening of short film Nelson the Pig (dir. Anneke de Lind van Wijngaarden) and a meeting with animal rights activists (10+).
November 12, 5 PM
Screening of the film Kiosk by Daniel Stopa and discussion “Don’t be silent: preventing domestic violence.”
November 14, 3 PM
The closing event of the 21st Travelling Festival in the region will include screening of Girl Away From Home and online meeting with its director Alisa Kovalenko, who worked on the film in cooperation with Simon Lereng Wilmont.
The partner of the festival in Zaporizhzhia is the “Window on America” Center on the premises of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Universal Scientific Library, which will host all the public events. The building is equipped with an air raid shelter.
