22 Travelling Docudays UA in Chernihiv Region: Event Digest

We are glad to have the opportunity to be together in these difficult times: this year, the Travelling Docudays UA will take place in the Chernihiv Region for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war!


Despite all the challenges, our regional partners, NGO Ukrainian Antiquity, are organising human rights documentary film screenings for young people in the regional centre, as well as in Ripky, Horodnia, Kozelets, and Svitanok, and will also hold thematic facilitated discussions. Join the events in your communities.


1 November, 6:00 p.m.

Chernihiv. Festival opening in the Chernihiv Region. Screening of the documentary film Last Song from Kabul by directors Kevin Macdonald and Ruhi Hamid, followed by a facilitated discussion on the topic of participatory democracy. Facilitator: Yulia Kovtun, public figure, trainer, co-author of social projects, has experience working as a journalist and police spokesperson.

Location: Chernihiv Regional Youth Centre.


2 November, 5:30 p.m.

Ripky. Screening of the documentary film Where’s My Body Armor? by Ukrainian director Daria Penkova and discussion dedicated to the rights of veterans, featuring Viktoriia Rozsudovska, a youth worker, volunteer, and head of the Youth Space Studio.

Location: Youth Space Studio in the Ripky Hromada.


6 November

Svitanok, 3:20 p.m. — Screening of the documentary film How I Spent My Summer Holidays? by Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich and a facilitated discussion. Facilitator: Alina Vasiura, coach and coordinator of the youth space.

Location: VSELI HUB Youth Space.

 

7 November

Horodnia, 4:00 p.m. — Screening of the documentary film How I Spent My Summer Holidays? by Antonio Lukich and a facilitated discussion on the topic of social cohesion. Facilitator: Iryna Krumkach, Chair of the Board of NGO EHarmony, local historian, volunteer.

Location: Docudays UA Film Club at the Horodnia Centralized Library System.

Kozelets, 5:00 p.m. —  Screening of the documentary film My Sextortion Diary by Spanish director Patricia Franquesa and a facilitated discussion on the topic of gender-based violence and the protection of children on the Internet. Facilitator: Halyna Poznia, practical psychologist and sexologist, comprehensive sexual education coach.

Location: Kozelets Youth Space.
