22 Travelling Docudays UA in Kirovohrad Region: Event Digest

In October, the Travelling Docudays UA will visit another area, Kirovohrad Region, where it will offer an extensive programme. Our tireless regional coordinators will hold more than 70 (!) festival events, visit educational institutions, youth spaces, and social and cultural centers in over 20 hromadas, as well as organize online screenings and discussions of documentary films accessible from anywhere in the country.


We’ve put together a brief digest of the open events for you:


27 October, 1:00 p.m.

Kropyvnytskyi. ​​Press conference of the 22nd Travelling Docudays UA by the festival’s co-organisers in the Kirovohrad Region: NGO Successful Interaction and NGO Territory of Success.

10:00 a.m., online. Festival opening: screening of the documentary film Where’s My Body Armour? by Ukrainian director Daria Penkova, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.

Sofiivka, 10:00 a.m. Screening of the documentary film Sanatorium by Irish director Gar O’Rourke for the residents of the village, including internally displaced persons, followed by a discussion of the film.

Rozdollia, 2:00 p.m. Screening and discussion of the documentary film How I Spent My Summer Holidays? by Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich.

10:00 a.m., online. Open dialogue on Participation as the Foundation of a Democratic Society. Together with experts, we will discuss public involvement in governance at the local level.


The discussion will feature:

  • Inha Dudnik, human rights expert;

  • Serhii Dyshlovyi, human rights advocate, history and law professor;

  • Alla Oliinyk, Deputy Village Head of the Kompaniivka Territorial Hromada;

  • Olekdandr Dudnik, Head of the IDP Council at the Kompaniivka Territorial Hromada.
