Despite constant air-raid alerts, bombings, proximity to the frontline, and the lack of warmth and light this autumn, we managed to bring to life another unforgettable Travelling Festival.

This festival is yet another testament to the fact that our strength and uniqueness lie in people.
In those who, in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in the rear, defend sovereignty with their daily actions, uphold the values of human rights, freedom, and democracy, build civil society, and contribute to change — each and every one in their own place. All of this is participatory democracy.

We are grateful to everyone who co-created the Travelling Docudays UA 2025 with us:

  • to the Defence Forces — for the possibility to live and to hold the festival during the war;

  • to the entire team, partners in 19 regions, volunteers — for your resilience, tirelessness, and the wonderful festivals held despite all challenges;

  • to the directors, film crews, and the protagonists of the films — for the beautiful films and meanings you create, for sincere stories and openness to communication;

  • to the discussion experts — for the professionalism and experience you share;

  • to the guests and viewers — for the precious time, warmth, and light you radiate, for every thought and emotion;

  • to all initiatives, spaces, and institutions — for your trust, reliable support, and cooperation;

  • to the Principle of Hope Charity Foundation and to our ambassador Maksym Butkevych — for expertise and efforts aimed at upholding human rights and preserving human dignity;

  • to the media partners — Suspilne, Hromadske Radio, hromadske.ua, GURT, Vgoru, and all friendly media — for solidarity, for the ability to speak about what matters even more loudly, and for being heard in every corner of the country;

  • to the European Union, the Embassy of Sweden, and IMS — for comprehensive support and the opportunity, in these difficult conditions, to implement powerful cultural and educational projects and to build a society of free people.

Knowing that Docudays UA is a truly rare resource, we sum up the 22nd Travelling Festival and are already beginning preparations for the 23rd Docudays UA in 2026. And we always remain close by through the film clubs of the DOCU/CLUB Network.

Thank you for being with us.
