The Festival will visit five districts in Poltava Region
Year after year, the geography of Docudays UA in Poltava Region is expanding. Today, in addition to Poltava, documentary films will also be demonstrated for residents of Pyriatyn, Hadiach, Lubny, Zinkiv, Karlivka.
In addition to discussions of the films, Poltava and the region will host workshops for youth on Human Trafficking: How to Protect Yourself in the Digital World. The goal of the events is to draw attention to hidden risks you can encounter because of incompetent or illegal actions of intermediary firms engaged in employment abroad. The participants will be offered a chance to participate in interactive exercises which will help them avoid traps set by human traffickers.
Following a screening of the film Bully, community activists, human rights advocates, teachers, psychologists will consider the phenomenon of bullying and cyberbullying. The participants of the Campaign Against Cyberbullying will speak about helping the victim and preventing these phenomena in schools.
“Throughout December, as part of the 16th Travelling International Human Rights Documentary Festival Docudays UA, there will be thematic meetings at media cafes. The participants will learn about signs of manipulation in the media, methods of news presentation, the existing markers of propaganda, how to avoid becoming a victim of manipulation or spreading fake news,” said Natalia Kiryachok, the regional coordinator of the 16th Travelling International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA in Poltava Region.
