In 2022, the 19 Travelling Docudays UA took place not only in Ukrainian cities but also abroad, in particular in Germany. On 13 December, the film Ivan's Land, directed by Andrii Lysetskyi, was screened with the support of the Moritzburg Art Museum in the city of Halle (Saale).

The film event was held in three languages, Ukrainian, German and English, and the visitors were from Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Poland. The linguistic variety and diversity of the audience involved in the film screening enabled a multicultural view at Ukrainian documentary cinema.

The screening was followed by a discussion about Ukrainian culture and art and the preservation of cultural heritage. The audience reflected on the topic of poetic, visual, and shamanic colouring of Andrii Lysetskyi’s film Ivan's Land.

One of the viewers, a school teacher Hagen, suggested during the discussion that the film should be translated into German and screened in German schools. In his opinion, "this film is a visual teacher because it shows on the example of Ukraine that it is necessary to preserve the cultural codes of each nation!"

The event organisers are grateful to Yaroslava Shkolna for assistance and translation during the discussion, as well as to Mariia Katrych for organisational and design help in creating posters.
