22nd Travelling Docudays UA arrives to Kyiv Region: events digest
We are inspired by the enthusiasm with which Travelling Docudays UA begins its journey across the country and are sharing a digest of public events: on 14 October, the festival will arrive in Boryspil!
Over these five days in the Kyiv region, we will have the chance to watch almost all the films from this year’s programme, meet the directors, and take part in important human rights discussions with experts. Keep your calendar handy and visit the Travelling Docudays UA page in Boryspil to stay up to date.
14 October, 3 pm
The festival opens in Boryspil with a screening of the documentary Where’s My Body Armor? followed by a discussion with its director, Daria Penkova.
15 October, 3 pm
Screening of the documentary Fiume O Morte! by Croatian director Igor Bezinović, followed by a discussion on “Possibilities of Participatory Democracy in Wartime” with local activists and representatives of civic organisations.
16 October, 3:00 pm
An event as part of the nationwide campaign “Sexual Violence on the Internet: How to Protect Children”. Screening of the documentary My Sextortion Diary by Spanish director Patricia Francesa, followed by an expert discussion on preventing and responding to online sexual violence. Participants include Victoria Bohun, psychologist at the “Harmonia” Mental Health Office of the Boryspil Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital, and Alla Blahodyr, Head of the Educational Security Service sector at the Boryspil District Police Department, Kyiv region.
17 October, 3 pm
Screening and discussion of the documentary Sanatorium by Irish director Gar O’Rourke.
18 October
12 pm — screening and discussion of the documentary Inside, The Valley Sings by Irish director Nathan Fagan.
1 pm — screening and discussion of the documentary My Sweet Child by Dutch director Maarten de Schutter.
3 pm — screening and discussion of the documentary Glass – My Unfulfilled Life by Dutch director Rogier Cappers.
The Travelling Docudays UA in Boryspil is organised by the NGO “Human Rights Centre for Public Research”. Following a long-standing tradition, all open screenings will take place at the Boryspil Public Library named after V. Chornovil. See you there!
