22 Travelling Docudays UA in Odesa Region: Event Digest
We draw inspiration from this year’s special festival event — the screening of Sanatorium at Kuyalnyk — and dive into two exciting weeks of the Travelling Docudays UA in the Odesa Region!
We will bring documentary film screenings, seminars, art workshops, and expert discussions to Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Burlacha Balka, talking extensively about youth civic engagement, the role of education in shaping personality, and supporting children in crisis situations. Some of the events will be open to the public, so don’t miss your chance, friends!
5 November, 4:30 p.m.
Chornomorsk. Opening of the 22nd Travelling Docudays UA in the Odesa Region. A joint press screening with the Travelling Festival partners in the Dnipropetrovsk Region of the documentary How I Spent My Summer Holidays? by Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich — for school students and the community of educators. After the screening, we will discuss the impact of war on young people, the role of education in fostering and maintaining resilience, and the importance of community in times of change.
Location: Artprostir.
7 November, 3:30 p.m.
Chornomorsk. Screening of the documentary My Sextortion Diary by Spanish director Patricia Franquesa for student self-government leaders, followed by an expert discussion on digital safety, the vulnerability of teenagers, and their protection from sexual violence online, which is one of the greatest dangers. The event will also include practical advice on improving digital literacy and creating a safe educational environment.
Location: Chornomorsk City Council Extracurricular Education Centre.
8 November, 2:00 p.m.
Burlacha Balka. Screening of the documentary Where’s My Body Armor? by Ukrainian director Daria Penkova, followed by a discussion on the rehabilitation and reintegration of our fellow citizens who have returned from russian captivity.

10 November, 4:00 p.m.
Chornomorsk. Rare Resource, an exhibition of children’s art. We will look at our most valuable and rare resources — resilience, the striving for freedom, love, and humanity — through the eyes of children, and talk about our inner values, unity, mutual support, and what makes us human even in the most difficult times.
Location: Artprostir.
