In the fifth year of the full-scale invasion, the Travelling Docudays UA continues its work thanks to the people who are defending Ukraine. Among the defenders are our colleagues, members of the film community, regional co-ordinators and film club moderators. During the Festival, we therefore continue our tradition of supporting those who defend the country by holding a charity fundraiser.

Last year, together with the Principle of Hope Charity Foundation founded by journalist and human rights defender Maksym Butkevych, we raised around UAH 50,000 over two months to renovate a rehabilitation centre for veterans.


This year, the Travelling Docudays UA and the Hurkit Charity Foundation have joined forces to raise funds for interactive panels for units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine as part of the 23rd Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.

Modern robotic systems—ground-based, aerial and reconnaissance—are more than just equipment. To operate effectively, units need a unified environment for data, planning and management. This is precisely why interactive panels are used at command posts and training centres: they make it possible to work with digital maps and up-to-date data in real time, hold briefings and meetings, bring together videos, photos and analytical data from several sources in one place, and organise training and collaborative planning of operations.

Without a unified system, teams have to deal with fragmented messages, separate files and different maps, wasting time reconciling data and building a complete picture of the situation. A unified interactive system helps establish a shared understanding, navigate current data more quickly, and plan and co-ordinate work more effectively.

We want to help units obtain the tools they need for their day-to-day work. We invite everyone who can to contribute to the fundraiser and support those who make it possible for us to continue working, holding the Festival and talking about human rights.

The Hurkit Charity Foundation is a team of volunteers who came together in response to the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

Every day, the Foundation helps:

— the Defence Forces;
— medics on the frontline.

Hurkit also regularly holds sporting and cultural events that have brought together more than 9,000 participants.

The Foundation operates transparently, independently and without political affiliation. The Hurkit website provides reports where the Foundation’s income and expenditure can always be viewed.
